01 [ACTION]

[There is a giant, living boulder...thing on campus. It's snake-like in appearance and is just kind of milling about, sticking its giant rock nose into bushes, peering into second-story windows, leaving the campus lawn all torn up in its wake. Hey man, you can't be a massive stone-serpent and not leave a some kind of trail. It's around various places all day, and very clearly seems to be giving the place a once-over.

One might easily ignore the young man that accompanies this gargantuan creature (or is it the other way around?) if not for the fact that he is wearing an obnoxious shade of bright orange. Still, it might take you a few moments to notice him, given the sheer size of his rock-like companion. He carries a backpack, and a map which he refers to every so often.

What is most interesting about this duo, perhaps, is the fact that they seem to be actively conversing, albeit in different languages. Occasionally this mysterious arrival hitches a ride on his stony friend along their self-guided tour. It's obvious that they're evaluating the school with a sort of non-verbal running commentary, perhaps looking for a familiar face or two.

Still a Bulbasaur, huh.

[Another nod, though this one is a bit less enthusiastic. He's going to paw at the snow for a moment.] Buuul.

[Then he bounced back!] Bulbasaur! [Yeah you could probably take that as, "I can still trounce your Onix again."]

Well, I'm sure he has his reasons. I can't imagine letting Onix evolve.

[Onix responds to Bulba with a growl that clearly says "I'd like to see you try." Even if all three of them know that Onix would, indeed, be trounced.]

[Nodnod.] Baa.

[Hey Onix you're getting the patented Green Team Douche Smirk! It lasts for all of four seconds before it is just a Bulbasaur being adorable like usual.]

[Onix sees you. He sees what you did there and he's glaring at you. Brock catches this and gives Onix a 'cut it out' type smack, of course not seeing anything but adoraBulba.]

Saaur.

[Bulba is the odd duck of Green Team, Onix, so he's saying he's sorry. He'll still trounce you though.]

[Onix relucantly accepts the apology and says he'd like to see Bulba try.]

[He was going to run over and give one of Onix's boulder a head nudge to say, "AW YEA LET'S DO IT" but...

But he kind of got stuck in a deceptively deep snow drift.]

[Onix emits the Onix equivalent of laughter but Brock shoots him another look and the Pokemon reluctantly scoots through the snow and starts nudging Bulba out of the drift.]

[FREEEEDOM. Well that was awfully embarrassing. He's just going to be thankful that the rest of his team wasn't around for that. He's just gonna... get back out of the snow and stay out.]

[Onix nudges his nose under Bubla's little Bulbabutt and lifts up again so that Bulba is effectively sitting on his head. Now nobody has to worry about the snow!]

Brock finds this mostly adorable.

[Gosh Onix, how many grass types are you gonna have sitting on your head today? But Bulba definitely does not seem to mind, since he's turning around in all directions to see what he can see from up here oh gosh oh gosh.]

[After Bulba sees what he can see, Onix lets him down because dropping Green's prized Bulbasaur would probably be a very bad idea.

Brock, meanwhile has been rummaging around in the berry pouch section of his backpack.]

I don't think I know what kind you like, sorry.

[Oh gosh berries too? This is amazing and awesome. But no worries, Brock, Bulba is apparently well versed in the art of Vine Language. See, see, he's making a picture with his vines it looks like [insert sweet berry here].]

[Aha! Wellll... Brock is looking pretty hard because he usually passes up sweet berries (Onix does not like sweet things), but after some searching he produces a Pecha berry and presents it to Bulba.]

Baaa...!

[Bulba takes the highly prized berry and treasures it well. Oh happy day! Om nom nom nom. Oh look that is the most pleased Bulbasaur you ever did see.]

[Well GOOD. Brock is smiley smiley and gives Bulba a little scratch right behind the ears.]

[Ear scratches too? Oh Brock, you shouldn't have. Feeling rather spoiled, Bulba figures this is a good time to run off before it looks like he's forgetting trainer loyalties. But Brock and Onix get a big Bulba grin and he waves at them with a vine before he goes.]
