Yeah, and she told me a "squinty-eyed" teacher told her to ask me out. And she pretty much demanded it.

Oh. OH. She asked me. And I asked her if she wouldn't rather go with one of her classmates. She said they were all stupid, and I told her I had plenty of smart people in my class.

Then she asked me to name them and you were one of the names I listed. I...didn't actually tell her to go ask you out.

Well, she said you told her. She was pretty forceful, too. I really couldn't say no to it...I hate makin' people upset like that, y'know. Especially girls.
