[There is a giant, living boulder...thing on campus. It's snake-like in appearance and is just kind of milling about, sticking its giant rock nose into bushes, peering into second-story windows, leaving the campus lawn all torn up in its wake. Hey man, you can't be a massive stone-serpent and not leave a some kind of trail. It's around various places all day, and very clearly seems to be giving the place a once-over.

One might easily ignore the young man that accompanies this gargantuan creature (or is it the other way around?) if not for the fact that he is wearing an obnoxious shade of bright orange. Still, it might take you a few moments to notice him, given the sheer size of his rock-like companion. He carries a backpack, and a map which he refers to every so often.

What is most interesting about this duo, perhaps, is the fact that they seem to be actively conversing, albeit in different languages. Occasionally this mysterious arrival hitches a ride on his stony friend along their self-guided tour. It's obvious that they're evaluating the school with a sort of non-verbal running commentary, perhaps looking for a familiar face or two.

Correct! There was a classroom, but I think this is more ideal...

[The berry trees and bushes are kind of near the middle. Onward ho!]

Makes much more sense to have it in the greenhouse. How are classes going, anyway?

I will admit that they are going much better than I expected. I was not anticipating many students to be interested in botany in a school that boasts its fighting credentials... Though I suppose... that would explain why so many are looking forward to the pirahna plant lesson.

[She's pointing over the rest of the plant towards the plants in question. Chomp chomp, gobble gobble.]

That's good to hear.

[He is about to ask what a Pirhana Plant is but the question is answered when the thing snaps at him.]

Gah!

Oh no.

[Erika looks ~~PISSED~~ displeased. She is marching right up to it and giving it a piece of her mind.]

You promised you were going to be good. I'm still holding you to that...!

[There is an exchange of chompy noises and Erika flicked it on the... nose. It was super effective!]

[Brock watches this whole exchange with varying degrees of bewilderment.]

It's okay. It's okay. [He holds out his hands.] All ten fingers, see!

[She takes them, carefully making sure that all ten fingers are all there herself. Phew.]

Oh good. ...They bit a Ponyta the first day of class, so I get a bit... Well, yes.

They did? Is it okay? Is it safe to even keep these things?

Yes, she's fine, thankfully. More skittish than actually harmed. I question their temperament, but we can only try to come to an agreement. It is their home after all... I cannot turn them away from it.

[Let's move away from the hand nibblers now.]

Okay. That's good.

[Yes. Let's.]

Anything else...dangerous in here?

[A small laugh.] Nothing more dangerous than what's in Celadon... the difference is that I'm not their trainer.

[Oh look, BERRY FOREST.]

True enough.

Oh, hey. This is neat!

There is one student that takes quite good care of them.

[Tamato berries where are yooou.]

... Apparently Red started them while he was here.

Really? Who?

Right, he was here, wasn't he. Last I heard he was off in Johto.

Her name is Hojita. She's very... enthusiastic.

[Nod] I wonder how he's doing.

[Two Tamato berries are growing on this bush? Would you like to pick them?

Ah, I see. I'll keep an eye out for her.

[Brock picks one of the berries!

The soil returned to its soft and earthy state.]

[There's a little clipboard nearby. Erika jots down a quick note to find some replacement berries for the ones they took.]

There.

[Brock cranes over her shoulder to see what she's doing!]

[She holds the clipboard up for him to see!]

I'm trying to get into the habit of keeping track of how many berries of each kind we have on hand.

Oh, okay.

Maybe later I'll help you replant some.

That would be very sweet of you.

[And they froliced amidst the flowers all afternoon.]

[But what was that feeling of forgetting something?]

[Where are my berries I see them bring them out here give me my berries.]
