01 [ACTION]

[There is a giant, living boulder...thing on campus. It's snake-like in appearance and is just kind of milling about, sticking its giant rock nose into bushes, peering into second-story windows, leaving the campus lawn all torn up in its wake. Hey man, you can't be a massive stone-serpent and not leave a some kind of trail. It's around various places all day, and very clearly seems to be giving the place a once-over.

One might easily ignore the young man that accompanies this gargantuan creature (or is it the other way around?) if not for the fact that he is wearing an obnoxious shade of bright orange. Still, it might take you a few moments to notice him, given the sheer size of his rock-like companion. He carries a backpack, and a map which he refers to every so often.

What is most interesting about this duo, perhaps, is the fact that they seem to be actively conversing, albeit in different languages. Occasionally this mysterious arrival hitches a ride on his stony friend along their self-guided tour. It's obvious that they're evaluating the school with a sort of non-verbal running commentary, perhaps looking for a familiar face or two.

Oh! My bad - I'm not so great with judging ages, I guess. My buddy Max is twenty four and he's still a student, if that counts for anything.

Well, I still...study, I guess. I help out with archaeological research at a museum back home.

Sweet! Hey, I'm pretty into archaeology myself, and so is my girlfriend! In fact, we have a few folks who are big into it here. And I've sold a bunch of artifacts and fossills to different museums to help pay my tuition and stuff - where you from, buddy?

Oh! Well, Miss Erika is our botany teacher and I know she spends a good deal of time in the greenhouse. *Points* It's over there a ways. And Lieutenant Surge is my good buddy Professor Goose's Fiancee so you might not find him on campus right now. He and Goose got a nice apartment in the city. *Point in the other direction*

Not so much an archaeology club as a treasure hunt club - We go some pretty fun places! And a couple of us have found a decent amount of swag, too.

And.. yeah.. Fiancee. Y'know... they're gonna get married sometime this year. Professor Goose said I get to help with setting it all up... you... seem kinda surprised? Don't worry, Goose is a great guy.

Yeah - they seem that way! I've never really spoken too much to Matt, but I know Goose couldn't be happier. Actually, they have a spiderbird too, by the name of Hettie. Much smaller than Harley though... eats mostly bananas from what I hear, whereas Harley was raised on meat, oatmeal and eggs. Right fella?

*Harley, hearing food names, is now all attention, four eyes blinking expectantly.*

Oh, well, we have a whole lot of those here, now. A lot of regular Pokemon trainers, too. I'm starting to wonder who's left back in these Gyms to run them if all the leaders are over here! Haha

Yes, that was my thought. I know Misty has her second in command looking after things, and Erika goes back to Kanto every so often, but I don't think I can leave my gym. I'm just here for a visit.

Sure - I understand. I bet they'd be pretty happy to see you n all though. Oh! And there's a really interesting Museum in FDC too. I contributed a lot to the Ancient Echidna section there and being you like Archaeology, you might get a kick out of it.
