Hi all,

It's been a while since I've written. Sorry about that.

Fall's really something here. Red, Misty and I took advantage of the last warm weekend and went camping up in the mountains--still got cold at night, though. It was fun, we had a good time. It's nice to just relax and not think about school for a few days. Between class and a part-time gig doing...secretarial work, I'm pretty busy.

Johto's new champion enrolled--she's a nice girl. Talented trainer. I guess I'd hear from you guys if anyone of that caliber came through the gym, huh?

Anyway, sorry I won't be around to take everyone out for Halloween this year. I'd try to fly out, but since it's a Sunday night I'd need to be back in time for class on Monday, so I don't think I could cut it. I'll come visit soon, though. You should send pictures--I've attached a few myself. My dorm, my classroom, the campus. As crazy as the school is, it's actually really nice.

I'm...dating. I know it seems weird to be telling you this in a letter, but I'm not sure when I'll be able to get back to Kanto, and I think I'd feel weirder not saying anything. I would probably be a little more nervous if not for the fact that you already know her. Erika, I mean.

Hope everyone's doing well, and that everything's running smoothly. I'll come visit soon and check up on the gym.

Does anyone have a needle and thread I could borrow? I popped a few buttons off the side of my cargo pants today and I can't find my kit. Maybe I left it at home.

What's everyone doing for Halloween? I haven't been at the school for one, so I guess I'm just curious as to how it's celebrated around here.

Man, growing up must be super depressing! You're the second one of my friends to call himself too old for trick-or-treating. Nobody should be candyless on Halloween, Brock!

I'm already giving the candy I don't want to Eusine, but maybe you could ask your brothers and sisters. How many do you have? Are they my age?

Well, there's always the sales the next day. I'll go buy all the leftover Halloween candy for half price.

Nah, I'm an only child. I used to want a little brother or sister so bad, though! I mean, it's not so bad now, because I met Rui. But when I was a kid, I thought it'd be awesome to be somebody's big sister.

It's a big responsibility. But I guess having just one younger sibling would be a little different.

I dunno... I think it'd be kind of fun having lots of siblings. You'd always be around friends! It must have been good practice for raising a Pokemon team too, right?

Sure. He did a number on my Golem, after all.

That's a good way to think of it, yeah. When I first got my license and started building a team, they weren't old enough to train yet, but now a few of them have Pokemon of their own. The next oldest after me is actually keeping an eye on the gym while I'm here.

It was a battle, it wasn't unfair. The reason Golem was out in the first place was so he could take care of Silver's Magneton.

The one that's running the gym's a little older than you, but only by a few years, I'd think.

Well, if you look at it like that, then I guess it makes sense. I guess types aren't really that big of a deal if you're prepared, anyway.

Oh! Well, that's fine. I like older boys, too. I hope toughness runs in your family, or Rui's gonna be disappointed if we come out all that way for nothing.

...Well, not nothing, I guess. Somebody told me Pewter's got a museum that makes zombie dinosaur Pokemon. That'd make a trip worthwhile no matter what, I think.
